Magnet develops technical tracking for LATAM airline fleet

Problem Statement: The largest airline in Latin America could not efficiently manage the operational limitations of their fleet.

Solution: Magnet developed a software to track the operational limitations for each plane of the fleet and connect them with the correct departments to receive maintenance etc.

Outcome: This software allowed LATAM to track all operational limitations of the fleet so that they would be addressed and resolved more efficiently increasing the functionality of the fleet.

LATAM, the largest airline in Latin America could not efficiently manage and track the operational limitations of their fleet.

This often resulted in planes not being serviced efficiently and encountering recurring problems that could have been avoided if tracked. These limitations are not critical malfunctions but included things like the plane oven not working, and other smaller malfunctions, which affects the routes planes can fly (without a working oven, the plane cannot fly overnight flights where dinner is supposed to be served).

The software developed allowed Latam to track the operational limitation of each plane and connect them with the correct departments to receive maintenance and also the departments deciding which flights were best for particular flight plans.

This software resulted in higher efficiency and greater functionality of the fleet. This software was originally rolled out with just the Chilean fleet and is now being used with the whole LATAM fleet.
